A week of resting

I was on leave on Monday, and then was on MC for Thursday and Friday.
Which means, I only worked for 2 days for the entire week.
Pretty bad huh.

It was a time where I had the most sleep as I can't go out, I can't go shopping.
I practically can't do much.

I feel much better today, especially after church that my hands were able to move more.
At least, at one point, I got really scared about L-I-F-E.

It rained during Christmas Open house.
Is it a sign?
I felt that there are a lot of mishaps towards this Christmas season:

1. I got my injured hand.
MY friend fell off from her bike and had 7 stitches on her chin (what can be worst than me?)
2. Heavy downpour during Xmas Open house
3. Things not going fine in life

It just scare me, that I didn't know what to do, and started continueing reading the bible reading plan which I stopped since Feb.
Now I'm at Exodus. (chapter 13-21)

Things that struck me:

1. God will FIGHT for us!
2. God will Heal us!
3. God who provides (food)
4. The Lord is our banner (as we lift our hands high, we will conquer over our enemies)
5. Consecrate ourselves before God
6. Obeying the 10 commandments
7. Thunder and Lighting - represents GOD? -> it was a very heavy rain just now during the OPEN house.

Right after the 10 commandments.
The 10 commandments is only 10 sim

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'.
My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used.

I finally checked it from Wikipedia, and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN.
No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'!
C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

Nyonya Willow is now at Arena Curve

Penang is indeed a food haven, where both tourists and locals are blessed with many good foods. When it comes to Peranakan or rather, Nyonya food, we could never forget Penang..... aside from Malacca and Singapore.

Nyonya Willow used to be located in a home at Sungai Tiram but now it's currently moved to Arena Curve. Getting there is a little tricky as the parking space around Olive Tree hotel is usually full, thus I'd recommend to park inside the Arena curve where the entrance is situated opposite d'piazza.  I personally find that it's now situated in a more strategic place, as it's easily accessible and nearer to my work place.

As it was on a usual weekday lunch, we ordered a few dishes like jiu hu char (RM14) , lor bak (RM16), kapitan chicken (RM16), pork leg vinegar (RM18), perut ikan (RM18) and babi ponteh (RM16). I'd recommend the kapitan chicken and perut ikan, as well as their gulai tumis (I tried it earlier in my previous visit).

 Our lunch spread :)

Traveling to the Southern Thailand Border - Dannok

It's been a while since I've gotten my passport stamped, thus, I thought I could do a day trip at the southern Thailand border. Being a frequent traveler to Thailand, I've always booked a van service to take me to the border. This time, it's really my first time trying out going to the border by foot.

It wasn't a good day for me as I forgotten to bring my umbrella.
Thus, I bought a not-so-nice one that day.
Moreover exchange rate is really bad. It's like 8.30 rate.
Then, I didn't know how to get the immigration form. So i chose the easier way to go to the shop and get it printed out (I later found out from my next trip that i can walk into the office to get one)

I started my walk along the shops to take a look at clothes, food, and also I bought a floor mat (funny, i thought it was nice). Also, not forgetting 7-11 for the cold drinks.
The weather was really crazy that I stopped at McD for free wifi and aircon, and the samurai pork burger.

 Seriously, tahpau…
