Buckle Up Your Seats

I thought my 2001 Iswara does not have seat belts for the middle passenger seats. I called up Makloom service centre and they asked me to call the i-care toll free, 1-300-880-888. And.. I just found out that there is seat belts installed! (It's just hidden and I need the mechanic or some experts to take it out from the seats) And now, my passengers could buckle up their seats, just before the rule get implemented.

Which one? Wella for sure..

Things to do before you turn 30

I sought many for their valuable opinion. Some were going against it, where else others were supporting the idea. I thought about it. I might as well do it before I look like a grandma. Since I was forced to take leaves during company shutdown, so I might as well do something different. I came out like a poodle after many hours of sitting down in a hair saloon. And, I have not highlighted my hair! P/S: sorry for the sleepy look. i'm about to go to sleep with my baju tidur.

Word of the Day: Stollen

According to webster dictionary, it means: a sweet yeast bread of German origin containing fruit and nuts And it's not something being stolen. Anyway, it tasted very much like bread, just that it has some rum/alcohol that has preservatives effect on the bread (like fruit cakes) Merry Christmas (yes, i've stolen this stollen picture from my sis)

Cellnique Banned?

Just because Cellnique's name was banned by Malaysian Ministry of health, they changed their name to B-liv. I find that my $$ invested for cellnique is somewhat not well-invested. I also begin to lose hope in those beauty saloons. As consumer, we just wouldn't know what type of product is safe to you. Just a caption from: http://offerstation.com/offers-promotions/24523/b-liv-by-cellniq-november-08-promotion-at-guardian.htm Enjoy 40% discount on Drench Me 120ml (usual price: RM69.90) when you purchase any 2 b.liv products at selected Guardian stores. b.liv by Cellniq is formerly known as Cellnique Pro Series. Whatever you give a woman...

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit.” Love this sooooooooo much!!

The Gem Of Life

(image courtesy from wikipedia) It's a real long series to follow till Feb, 2009. It's a movie between the rich and famous and those wanting to be rich and famous. It's a movie filled with materialism in a heartless and crude world. Sometimes, I get disturbed with the REALITY that is portrayed in the series. Yet, i still want to know, if in real life, is there a good ending in one's life who has done so much mistakes/wrong-doings in the past. Terrence - will this playboy eventually be a good husband and son? Constance - would this 'love-is-everything' woman realise that there are more things to do in life besides LOVE? Jessica - could she be less-materialistic? Sylvia - would she let go of her career and pursue other things in life such as love and relationship with her family? Elise - can she grow up and stop becoming a spoilt brat? Calvin - he's a truly nice person (who had a sad childhood), but how successful would his life be? so much questions.... and

Coffee Island, Gurney Penang

As we were driving along Gurney Drive to look for a place to hangout, we noticed a new place Coffee Island, Gurney Penang. Since it was flooded with people, we decided to park our cars and try the place. It was definitely a crowded place outsideand we were well ushered by one of the waiters. He even recommended us to sit in the aircon area which is inside. The food was fusion, a little here and there, chinese, vietnamese, hawkers, western, something like Old Town kopitiam, Island Red cafe or somewhere along that line, which suits Malaysians, being rojak. I would like to write my feedback to the owner, but there wasn't any feedback form to fill up. I even asked the waiter which one is their boss, but the boss was too busy. I hope one day, the owner of Coffee Island, Mr George would read this. :) -------------------------------------------====--------------------- Dear Mr George, Congratulations for the successful opening of your cafe. It was a nice hangout place, with nice ambience,

Island Red Cafe, Krystal Point

It was monthly birthday celebration. Since I've not been there, so might as well give this place a try. The interior is nice, but the place is not very well maintained. The dustbin was opened attracting lots of flies around our tables. The couch turned a little dirty. Maybe they should have more workers cleaning up the place. I had some Mushroom sauce grilled chicken. I was quite dissapointed since it was over-cooked. The Ice-blended coffee was also so-so only (for the price I'm paying). One of the person in charge who happens to know my friend is pretty friendly; service was good.. but but.. this is food industry, we still want good, reasonable food to makan. The thing that I'm particular about is the cheap chilli/ketchup that they were using. I prefer Heinz or Kimball.. perhaps Maggi would do as well..

Cool Rhino - Cools my system

It was a treasure hunt along the journey to Cameron Highlands for church camp. We were supposed to fill up _______ _______ - cools my system. And the answer was Cool Rhino . This advertisement is all over the North-South Highway. And, since I'm down with flue, sore throat, acne outbreak, cracked lips, I bought a bottle of it (Rather than the badak air we usually buy). Hmm... I don't know if it really works. Perhaps, one bottle is not enough. I'm still recovering...

511 Tactical Boots

-- Law Enforcement website needs links -- Most of the ladies wear boots during winter or at cool places, but there are some who needs to get them due to their job nature. Whether you are fireman, policeman or in the army, a pair of boots is a must-have thing in your cupboards. At work boots usa , you could get high-quality boots (and you call them 511 Tactical Boots) especially if you are in the police force or army. Or, perhaps, if you are into construction, you could get boots that will keep your toes safe from falling objects. These boots are proven to have functions like other sport shoes. You won't even realise that you are actually wearing boots. You would actually thought that you are wearing a pair of sport shoes. Yes, it's as comfortable and light as one. It does not give a heavy-like feeling like the old conventional boots. So, even if you are not into police forces, you could get one for the convenience of your household chores. At least, while doing some gardening,

Looking for Part-Time Job

During this economy downturn, I thought it'd be cool to work part-time just to earn that extra bucks. The easiest job would be a promoter/salesgirl. Since I'm always forced to take leaves, might as well earn that RM50 to pay for my favourite food. It's just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unfortunate that there is an age limit!!! only up to 28 year olds? But then, I do see lots of aunties giving brochures (especially hair salons) at Prangin mall. And, they were really very persistent people!!! Photo some more? Should I photoshop my pic first?

RM2 Promotion at Tutti Fruitti, Tesco Extra

Yes! All the food in the menu cost RM2. The drinks, the main course, the desserts.... Everything's RM2 (no tax!). But, it's only valid for orders before 11.30am. Surprising, there weren't many patrons around, but I think the Nasi Lemak (with chicken drummet) worth the most. I wouldn't say that the food taste extremely good, but for a place like this, I think it's worth having a simple breakfast there. At least, it's slightly cheaper than some "kopitiams". Moreover, the owner was friendly to allow our orders till 12noon (due to some late comers). And, this place is baby/children friendly.

Biblical Foundation Character: Orderliness

It's bridge run tomorrow and I was stuck in the training for the whole of today. And I completed my homework in 20 mins. I find this program very useful to both christian and non-christian group. And, one of the statements on Joseph's character that the speaker said struck me.. that.. What they meant for evil, God meant it for GOOD. (Joseph was sold by the brothers and later it was meant for GOOD that he'd be the King)

QEII: Light Series Europa Party

I was greedy asking for two small little cakes at QEII, Swettenham Pier, since it's the only 'food' we ordered. How pathetic. 4 of us sharing 2 baby cakes. Yes, I was being a little 38. I recycled the candle on both the chocolate and tiramisu. And I thought very hard for the deepest wish and posed very hard. See.. I knew I'd look constipated having my unexpected complimentary sambuca. Aiyo.. Don't HUG me so tight.. I'm scared ok. and my arms proved it!! (no more sexy arms - OnlY FAT arms.. ) Live International Band. I couldn't agree that the performance was great. She had sexy moves too! (and I was busy imitating her singing and dancing upstairs) I finished all the bottles (*yeah right*) Those are complimentaries for the patrons. On Dunhill!! On our way back walking towards the car... Since I got a little tipsy, I was shocked to receive a complimentary bottle of wine. The four of us had it for free. I think the only person that spent a lot is *ahem*

Kids Eat Free Everyday and I'm One of them

Yes, I'm a KID. I ate for free on that day. Thanks friends. :) Somewhat, TGI Friday's food aint tasty as Chillies, but i felt healthier with the Fridays' chicken breast meat. Sadly, they don't serve brownies for the RM39.90 promo. Get a free cake today at Friday's. Attack!! Yes, it's feasting month and I definitely gained a WHOLE lots of weight. Thanks friends... and little GY. GY was the STAR for the day (as usual).

CGL Food Fair - They Need RM165k

Surprising that they can't raise another RM165k. Imagine, if each of the parents fork out a little, I don't think they really need that much. Why can't the parents JUST help out? OR why can't the school get help from some datuks or business men? OR get from the government? Why can't they do stuff like Walkathon? How depressing. Honestly, I was quite dissapointed with this 'small scale' food fair. My RM3 Milo was like sugar water. And the RM5 macaroni sambal tasted really ... .. erm.. erm..... But... at least the 'mini concert' was cute. :) Water Cooler since 1992?

The Mummy Of The Day

It was Halloween Night and we did not know where to go. Somewhat we settled for G-Spot, Gurney Hotel. The drinks didn't taste that great, but at least we got ourselves an "L" sized tshirt (From mummy wrapping contest) that we can't wear :( I must dress up NEXT year for halloween. At least on my face. :P

A slice of lemon a day keeps the Doctor away

It's a trend in my dept that most of us have at least a slice of lemon in our water bottles. Some have even three slices, but I have one pathetic one slice. (Because I stinge) :P After drinking for a few days, I really like it and will keep this trend. Benefits of lemon: 1. Lose weight 2. Citrus - source of vitamin C 3. Reduces athsma problem 4. Reduces blood cholestrol level 5. Promotes bowel movements 6. Prevents cold and flu 7. Enhances skin complexion and many, many more

Word of the Day - Insemination

According to http://www.Biology-online.org , The act of sowing (of seeds in the ground or, figuratively, of germs in the body or ideas in the mind , etc.).The introduction of semen into the genital tract of a female.insemination deposit of seminal Fluid within the vagina , normally during coitus . Synonym: semination. Why this word? I was looking at a forwarded picture of a group of men pointing something at the horse. The title of the pic was insemination. I was like... asking my colleague... what's that!?? Now I know, they are trying to fertilize the horse with one big load of thing.

Boiling Soup Using Microwave Oven

I never knew I could do that. I chopped lotsa onions, potatoes and carrots (add tomotoes if you want) and put everything in a bowl of water. It was 3 mins, HIGH in the microwave oven. And, somewhat, hmm.. it tasted like boiled soup. :) Such convenient way to prepare a meal, but, aint sure if it's healthy though.

English Corner

Last week, I was discussing with my colleagues how inappropriate for our HR to circulate emails with grammar mistakes. Example: 1. How will it LOOKS like? Shouldn't it be, "How will it look like?" Auxilary verb rule -> it will turn plural. http://www.perfectyourenglish.com/grammar/modal-auxiliaries.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_modal_auxiliary_verb 2. A memo was written in Malay, but it ended with "Warmest Regards". 3. Very extremely use of flowery words. 4. And now, I realised that I wrote an email incorrectly stating the time as 12pm. oopssiee.. because we have been doing it all the time and didn't realise that it's WRONG until I'm being corrected. :P (thanks char boh) http://www.xoup.net/peeves/highnoon.php

Maxim's Gelato

Maxim's Gelato Ice cream has been around in Penang for quite a while but it's my first time trying it. My friend claimed that it's not too bad though. I had Tiramisu and something with chocolate. Two scoops for RM8.20 or so. Honest speaking, I think I'd still prefer Baskins or Haagenz. :) The feel of Maxim's just too soft and not-rich and not-much-ingredient. Yes, the outlook of it actually tempted me, but as soon as the gelato melted in my mouth, it was like dissapointing... i expected more!

Scones Anyone?

I don't know when my sister started having scones craze. But, if any of you would like to munch on some cheap scones, please come by, RM0.30 for one.. come.. come.. buy buy..!

Happy Deepavali

It's fun visiting houses. And cheers! Hope she liked the hamper we got for her.

Com Viet, Lintang Burmah, Pulau Tikus

Clockwise from left: 1. spring roll, 2. deep fried spring roll, 3. chicken laksa, 4. beef kuey teow And The sugarcane chicken with vege wrapped with rice paper. This whole thing cost us Rm77.60 plus drinks. I find that it's quite healthy but somewhat, I think I can get it very cheap in vietnam. Ingredients are very simple. Just vegetables and some meat. ;)

Mayfair Slimming Affair

It was one of those big page advertisement on Free SlimMedic Trial at Mayfair. This centre which is re-located from Crystal Point to Bays Avenue is having their OPEN Week till 25-Oct. My colleague, who is the customer of Marie France decided to take the opportunity for a free trial visit and asked me along. We were there earlier, and I took some bites from this tray which reminds me of English Afternoon Tea. After a long wait for 30 mins, the consultant checked my body fat%, weight, and height. She also checked my fat areas and gave me some recommended packages. 1. Full set package - 10 sessions for RM1.3k 2. MDS - Rm250 per session (50% for the first trial) She gave me a free trial on LD (electric massage on my bod) for 20 mins, followed by chilli wrap on hot blanket for 30 mins. Seems like slimming sessions are like facial sessions. They have spa and facial too. I asked about facial offers. Aromadetoxification is Rm160/session but it'd be cheaper if we were to get the package. R

QEII mIssBehave Night - Every Friday

Dinner for TWO would be really romantic at QEII, Penang. I didn't had this salmon, but the presentation is really well, and the food is fairly good. The place is filled with romantic candles, and we would be able to enjoy the sea scenery and across the sea, it's Butterworth. What's best about MissBehave night is we get free flow of drinks from 8.30pm-10.30pm. OPI giving free manicure and 3D nail art Free hair-do by Hair Icon. And free show. :P And, dancing all night long. When I told others about QEII, many did not know about the MissBehave night, but it was announced in SOHO, Penang Road before. Anyway, it's a place I would want to visit again! Admiring my 3D nail art.
