A guinea Pig of the Day

It was an exciting morning. I didn't know that I was going for a government research for Metabolic Syndrome. I woke up at 6.10am. I reached the college at 6.50am. I was lucky no.6 and started my registration. I thought it was just a normal 'FREE' glucose test, but by looking at it. It's more than that. The place was soon flooded by aunties and uncles by 8am. I was lucky I was one of the early birds. 7.50am: They poke the butterfly needle and withdraw blood from me 8am: They made me finished up a cup of glucose drink 8.05am: Interview session from a med student 8.15am: Meetup with a doctor checking if there is any growth on my face, and my waist-to-hip body ratio 9am: My 2nd blood withdrawal 10am: My 3rd blood withdrawal And I earned RM30. (with a packet of Nasi Lemak and mineral water) *phew* After a fasting session and a disgusting sugar water drinking session. Picture: Children waiting for their parents

Have you wonder what Glutes are?

(Picture from google image - sorry, I dont' remember the source) There are always squats during gym session and my friend loved to work out on her lower back. Glutes (or Gluteus maximus ) are butt muscles - to achieve that, we need to have the two dimples at the butt there! (=^=) Until now, i fail to get the two dimples. Some say it's natural (we can't work out to get that), just like the dimples on our face!

New style of Weight Exercise

I learnt a lot from this http://www.exrx.net/ . Find it really, extremely useful. Yesterday, i did a new method for obliques (side waist) which is One Arm Straight Leg deadlift . I took the 5kg and started working on it and today, i really felt the pain on my oblique (near my pelvic bone part) and my hamstring. Good workout! And not forgetting incline cruches .

The club is pretty much small, yet, it's still equipped with shower, toilet, steam bath and lockers. There are not much machines for weights. Perhaps, they focus more on cardio machines. However, i really hate rude people in the gym. I hate ppl who invade my space and block my mirror space. Just because i don't know how to dance, they just shouldn't invade ppl's space! The classes aren't that effective or solid like http://www.lesmills.com/ . Anyway, i shall give it a try and see how it works for me. The advantage is .. it's cheap and parking is free!
