Stewardship

For the past 3 weeks, the church has been talking about Stewardship 1,2 and 3.
Initially, it was about being a manager, managing God's property properly, then to gaining friends with the worldly wealth (money).

On the same week, my colleague was mentioning about investing into funds since HSBC came to our plants. I was telling her, right now, no extra $$ since I've invested a little bit on ASW, and she seemed to worry a lot about managing her $$. Since both of us are not married and still staying with our family, we are not worrying so much about paying our home loan and those 'major' stuff.

I was telling her, "Store up your treasures in heaven!".
She agreed.

We then talked about how sucky work would be, but I'd always tell her to start to impact other people's lives. And she agreed again... and would want to start from home. :)

Life sucks, but I'm carrying this hope that one day, Jesus would come and take me to his BIG MANSION for me. :)

Reflect on why you think life sucks. Life doesn't suck, it is the way we think.

God gives us challenges to make us stronger. When we face challenges in life, we need to remember that we don't travel that road alone. Each one of us has to deal with challenges that push us beyond what we think we can take. God is with us and will help us through.
Maybe it's time to open up "Driven Purpose Life".

THE BEND IN THE ROAD

When we feel we have nothing left to give
And we are sure that the "song has ended"
When our day seems over and the shadows fall
And the darkness of night has descended.

Where can we go find the strength
To valiantly keep on trying
Where can we find the hand that will dry
The tears that the heart is crying.

There's but one place to go and that is to God
And dropping all pretense and pride
We can pour out our problems without restraint
And gain strength with Him at our side.

And together we stand at life's crossroads
And view what we think is the end
But God has a much bigger vision
And He tells us it's only a bend.

For the road goes on and is smoother,
And the "pause in the song" is a "rest"
And the part that's unsung and unfinished
Is the sweetest and richest and best.

So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load
Your work is not finished or ended
You've just come to "the bend in the road."

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

An afternoon at Dannok

Living at the northern side of Malaysia makes it really convenient and easy to go 'overseas'. For us, going to our neighboring country, be it Thailand or Singapore by land or by flight is really easy. I'm always a fan of Thai food, and with the remaining Thai bahts that I had since my last Bangkok trip (which I didn't finish even crossing the border a couple or times), I decided to go Dannok for FOOD again. So, it's a day trip or rather, half day tour to Dannok For the past few weeks, I was searching for insta / blog /facebook posts if there is any other new hangouts in Dannok, but sadly, I couldn't find many bloggers who write about it. The funny part is, I already blogged about it two years ago. The immigration complex in Malaysia is new. I nearly couldn't recognize it, while passing to get our passport checked. As I didn't want to drive over, we parked our car at the Zon Duty Free. As I entered, I took the wrong ticket (which parking rate is RM3...
