Forgiveness

It's been a long time since we had guest speakers who bring their personal life experiences into the sermons. Most pastors will share what is from the bible. The characters from the bible. Learn from them.

Now that we could learn from a drug trafficker who turned over a new leaf.
His offences were erased permanently by the judge, just like God erased our sins (Romans 6:18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness).

His name is Daniel Ross.
He was bold and had the courage to relate his past to us so that we could learn from him.
He reminded me that money is the root of evil.
He reminded me that as long as we don't surrender ourselves to God 100%, we will not not receive God's blessings and forgiveness.

I had a past, just like him.
I thought I had already shown forgiveness to the person who had once hurt me deeply.
I don't hate that person anymore, in fact, I tried to show more love.
However, the feeling of looking back to the past was just WAY too strong.
The feeling of guilt and shame for the past mistake still haunts me.

Today, I realised that it's not because I did not show forgiveness to others.
I forgot to show forgiveness to MYSELF.
I was not able to forgive myself.
I thought I was going nowhere, not receiving God's grace.
I never understood this before about forgiving ourselves and accepting back ourselves.
I think I was still dwelling in my past.

I don't want to be in darkness, but I want to be in the Light of God.
When things are dark, our visions will be blurred.

Now that not only I ask God for strength, but I ask God for His Blessings pouring upon me.
I pray that God will show me the light.
ANd now that I've let go of everything that has been holding me back, that stopped me from experiencing God's greatness.

Philippians 3:13b-14
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Must agree with you on one point -Yes, money is indeed evil..
Ppl with excess money will find it harder to let go..and surrender to God wholly. No man can serve 2 Gods.
Many times we see family feud arising from property apportionment, following to the death of an benefactor.

Totally agree with you.. Forgiveness goes hand in hand with love.. when u forgive (love) urself, then only can u forgive(love) others...

Do continue bloggin these insightful blogs often.. yeah!

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

An afternoon at Dannok

Living at the northern side of Malaysia makes it really convenient and easy to go 'overseas'. For us, going to our neighboring country, be it Thailand or Singapore by land or by flight is really easy. I'm always a fan of Thai food, and with the remaining Thai bahts that I had since my last Bangkok trip (which I didn't finish even crossing the border a couple or times), I decided to go Dannok for FOOD again. So, it's a day trip or rather, half day tour to Dannok For the past few weeks, I was searching for insta / blog /facebook posts if there is any other new hangouts in Dannok, but sadly, I couldn't find many bloggers who write about it. The funny part is, I already blogged about it two years ago. The immigration complex in Malaysia is new. I nearly couldn't recognize it, while passing to get our passport checked. As I didn't want to drive over, we parked our car at the Zon Duty Free. As I entered, I took the wrong ticket (which parking rate is RM3
