Yokohama Patisserie

One day, my colleague received a courier box from our Japan counterpart.
We opened up and saw very beautiful packaging.
I thought it should be chocolates and then, I saw the YOKOHAMA FRANCAIS PATISSERIE all over the wrappings.

I remembered seeing four flavours:
- Gianduja (praline)
- Caramel
- Chocolate
- Marzipan (i think)

It's coated with milk chocolate, i think.

When I took the first bite, there are layers of hard honey flakes with two layers of gianduja cream in between. It's truly a sensation.

After that, I felt 'tasteless' tounge due to the pastry's shortening.
Read from Grandma's remedy, consume some boiled some ginger and honey........ to recover our taste buds.

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

Monday Movie Day - Mamma Mia

Finally, after being a nuffnanger for 3 months, I was invited for a free movie at GSC Gurney. Thanks, nuffnang. Again and again. Free movie for 3. An Encounter with Gelatissimo

It was an eventful Saturday afternoon. I had an 'appointment' with Gelatissimo , Gurney Plaza, Penang. I have always wished to try gelatos there (since Lecka Lecka has gone for good) and it's the ONLY store serving gelatos in Penang (I think). There you go.. I'm going to blog on my 'encounter' with Gelatissimo. First and foremost, consumers need to be educated the difference between ice-cream (Haagen dazs, Baskin Robbins, Walls etc) and Gelatos. Gelatos is italian frozen ice dessert and the method of making it is different from ice cream . Basically, gelatos has less cream than ice cream and it has higher density (the molecules are nearer as compared with ice cream). Most importantly, I think the fat content is less as it has more original food as compared with ice cream (usually with articificial coloring and flavours). The friendly staff posing for camera.
