Random Food from Max Gourmet Queensbay

I have not been to Max Gourmet, queensbay for many months (almost a quarter) and it seemed like there was some changes in the way they serve the food.

Lunch time is still packed as usual, and service is of course, quick.
I would say, this place is relatively similar to canton-i, except they dont' have people dressed with cheongsam/traditional chinese wear with walkie talkie on them.

I wanted to order dry wan tan mee, but forgot.... I still prefer the DRY one. Char siu aint good.

According to my friend, the duck noodles not too bad.

I like fried turnip better than char kuey kak.
Turnips are softer.... and nice .:)
Again, it's probably Rm5 cheaper than canton-i.

Some crispy noodles stuff.
Big portioning that I think next time, i can share with the other friend.

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

Monday Movie Day - Mamma Mia

Finally, after being a nuffnanger for 3 months, I was invited for a free movie at GSC Gurney. Thanks, nuffnang. Again and again. Free movie for 3. An Encounter with Gelatissimo

It was an eventful Saturday afternoon. I had an 'appointment' with Gelatissimo , Gurney Plaza, Penang. I have always wished to try gelatos there (since Lecka Lecka has gone for good) and it's the ONLY store serving gelatos in Penang (I think). There you go.. I'm going to blog on my 'encounter' with Gelatissimo. First and foremost, consumers need to be educated the difference between ice-cream (Haagen dazs, Baskin Robbins, Walls etc) and Gelatos. Gelatos is italian frozen ice dessert and the method of making it is different from ice cream . Basically, gelatos has less cream than ice cream and it has higher density (the molecules are nearer as compared with ice cream).
