Prestige Palace Cafe, Queensbay

Every month, my dept would organize a place for Birthday Celebration.
The last round at Japin, queensbay mall was rather expensive.
Each person got to pay about RM20+.

Whenever I pass by the road, I would be able to see the banner for set lunch RM9.90+.
I suggested this place to my colleagues since all of us have not been there.

It's a place where nobody has been to.
I can't even google it !

The set lunch came with iced lemon tea and mushroom soup first.
The drink was very small glass with lotsa ice.
Mushroom soup was a bit like pizza hut, very diluted.

Grilled Fish with salad and mashed potato.
I didnt' tasted that.

Black Pepper Chicken with fries and vege.
I didn't eat that too.
BBQ Chicken.
That was what I ordered.

Chicken was pre-cooked and the BBQ sauce was only poured later.
They prepared the food before we came, thus, it's a little bit not-too-hot.
I prefer it hot-hot. :P

The chicken reminds me of Secret recipe.
It is cooked first and gravy/sauce will be served with later.
Chicken aint that bad.

Not too bad for the price we pay. RM10.40 per person.

The birthday girls had their banana split.
It came with 3 flavours of ice cream with banana sliced and generous servings of canned fruits.
The ice cream was kinda cheapo - sorry, i still love baskins or haagen.

They gave complimentary baby cake from King's Confectionery

The boss is open for suggestions for any room for improvement.
They are friendly and very accomodating.

Cozy chair outside. But so many ppl seat d.. abit dirty.

This restaurant used to be only so-so, as Mei Yi said. But recently, the quality and portion deteriorated, so it is on the worse end of the scale. The owner is a bit rude - definitely not fit to be in the service industry. He often boasts of how much credentials he had, but his food speaks for itself.

Hello Helen,
Thanks for dropping by my blog..
I have never visited the place after 2008, as I believe that there are many other better restaurants.

This place is still around? I have never seen any customers inside there before.

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

An afternoon at Dannok

Living at the northern side of Malaysia makes it really convenient and easy to go 'overseas'. For us, going to our neighboring country, be it Thailand or Singapore by land or by flight is really easy. I'm always a fan of Thai food, and with the remaining Thai bahts that I had since my last Bangkok trip (which I didn't finish even crossing the border a couple or times), I decided to go Dannok for FOOD again. So, it's a day trip or rather, half day tour to Dannok For the past few weeks, I was searching for insta / blog /facebook posts if there is any other new hangouts in Dannok, but sadly, I couldn't find many bloggers who write about it. The funny part is, I already blogged about it two years ago. The immigration complex in Malaysia is new. I nearly couldn't recognize it, while passing to get our passport checked. As I didn't want to drive over, we parked our car at the Zon Duty Free. As I entered, I took the wrong ticket (which parking rate is RM3
