Happy Feet Fish Spa, New World Park

Ever induldge ourselves in a pool of Garra Fishes at a Fish Spa?
I was quite skeptical about the concept and did some read ups about it.
Most ppl claimed that their skin felt smoother than before, well i felt that it's not due to the fishes nibbling but it was just the warm water that we've soaked ourselves at for at least 30 mins.
SEems like this is not the first Fish Spa in Penang (opened in New world park recently).
Promo rate was Rm18/30 mins and I decided to give it a try.

I mean the best way to evaluate something to try it ourselves

The place was rather small, i was squeezed into a small baby pool with lots of people.
Since it's still under promo, that explains the crowd.

(must really thank one of the customers who volunteered to help us to take a pic)

For the first 15 mins, I wasted my time struggling with the tickling sensation and could not possibly enjoy the fishes nibbling me.

I saw some other reviews at other Spas, and they have a full body pool, which i think it's far more better than just the legs.

Honestly, I was quite dissapointed with the place as I expected it to be better.
Since it's a 'SPA', i expected myself to be pampered. Few things:

1. We paid in cash and were not issued receipt
2. We were asked to wash our feet and wipe with a small hanky towel only with no proper place to sit (congested area)
3. We were timed less than 30 mins. The person asked us to get up in 28 mins or so. I felt that they should set a timer for each of us or something, else it's REALLY difficult to monitor.
4. Very congested area to sit. When I kicked myself, the fishes all ran away and it may affect the other fishes nibbling other customers.
I got it when an auntie kept kicking away. I didn't blame her since I know she's not used to the fishes nibbling her for the first 15 mins (like me)
5. I was being told not to stand on the stones since the filter is working from beneath -> i really don undersatnd the concept
6. Rules and explaination was not given clearly.

WHat i saw in there were just CROWD.

I'm giving credit to this guy.
He soaked his feet down.
No laughter from him at all.
SO solemn, So expression-less.

Dear Mei Yi,

Greetings from Happy Feet. Firstly, our apologies for your not so pleasant experience at the Fish Spa. Your comments are duly taken note and we will strive to improve ourselves.
You were right, everyone wanted to take advantage of the RM18 promotion that was likely the lowest price in whole of Malaysia and hence that explains the crowd.

If you have the time, I would like to invite you back to Happy Feet again for another session on the house. You might feel differently after that.
Please email us your details and I will personally make sure you get a free session for a better experience on the fish spa.

Thank you for your time to comment about us and we look forward to your re-visit soon.

Warmest wishes,
Happy Feet

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

An afternoon at Dannok

Living at the northern side of Malaysia makes it really convenient and easy to go 'overseas'. For us, going to our neighboring country, be it Thailand or Singapore by land or by flight is really easy. I'm always a fan of Thai food, and with the remaining Thai bahts that I had since my last Bangkok trip (which I didn't finish even crossing the border a couple or times), I decided to go Dannok for FOOD again. So, it's a day trip or rather, half day tour to Dannok For the past few weeks, I was searching for insta / blog /facebook posts if there is any other new hangouts in Dannok, but sadly, I couldn't find many bloggers who write about it. The funny part is, I already blogged about it two years ago. The immigration complex in Malaysia is new. I nearly couldn't recognize it, while passing to get our passport checked. As I didn't want to drive over, we parked our car at the Zon Duty Free. As I entered, I took the wrong ticket (which parking rate is RM3
