An afternoon to kill at Plan B, Ipoh

It was a much awaited day to visit Plan b at Ipoh (at Jalan Panglima),since it's nearest Plan b from Penang (No, I have never been to any of their outlets around the Klang valley). Although we have Ben's, but I thought that the concept between Ben's and Plan b maybe slightly different. In terms of food served, I see the consistency in them. They turned the old shop lot at the corner of the old town of Ipoh into a place where I could sit back, relax and enjoy the tranquil of the quiet town.

In fact, it was not part of the itinerary that day to drop by Plan b, as most of my friends wanted to try authentic Ipoh food instead. Since there was not much to do with a filled stomach while waiting for dinner time, we ended up with A Plan b at Plan b. So, there is always A Plan b. :)

The bottle display.
The lights/lamps fascinated me.
THINKBIG. That's the wi-fi password, which happens to be the same as Ben's.

The bar, and the cake display.

The shaded outdoor area, with cozy couches and floors preserving the old small white tiles. If i see it correctly, the couch covers are gunny sacks!

An asian tounge: Sweet potatoes fries with blue cheese+thousand island

My latte...

The lonely sugar
I can't comment much about the food, as I didn't order any food!
But, I can guarantee that the sweet potato fries were nice, but it's just expensive (RM20), perhaps, the blue cheese is an expensive ingredient, but I did not finish up the dipping. (how wasteful it was).

Interestingly, this cafe is located just beside Roquette Cafe, and now, that makes me having another reason to visit Ipoh again!

What would it be like leaving Plan b without taking a picture of the light bulbs

Think big.  :)
(and again, I realized that big starts with the letter b)

What's the Difference between 'Net' and "Nett"

Since it's part of my group's job to publish daily billings report to the management, our Director (from US) pinpointed that we should fix the spelling of 'nett billings' to 'net billings'. My colleauge was looking at google, trying to understand the 'right' spelling to be used. I finally checked it from Wikipedia , and found that 'nett' is BRITISH and 'net' is AMERICAN. No wonder he's offended to fix it to 'net'! C'mon. I'm in an american MNC, I should be more sensitive towards this.

Monday Movie Day - Mamma Mia

Finally, after being a nuffnanger for 3 months, I was invited for a free movie at GSC Gurney. Thanks, nuffnang. Again and again. Free movie for 3. Thanks. :D The blogger community was exceptionally quiet compared to the usual cinema crowd. Perhaps, maybe, they only TALK in their blog. I dont' know. Even as we were watching a few minutes of the silent movie, there were not a single 'hoo-ing' or banana-throwing at the screens. I was looking hard to see if I know anyone. I guess it's just 5xmom with her anti-ISA tshirt. Hm.. Somewhat, after watching the movie, I felt that it was just morally so wrong. Am I too rational? 1. How can one has 3 fathers? Shouldn't they do a DNA check first? 2. Does that mean it's alright sleeping with 3 men one after another and get pregnant and raise the child in an island? 3. It seemed ok for the daughter to just call off the wedding. 4. And, the pastor actually solemnized their wedding just like that? They don't even need to att...

An Encounter with Gelatissimo

It was an eventful Saturday afternoon. I had an 'appointment' with Gelatissimo , Gurney Plaza, Penang. I have always wished to try gelatos there (since Lecka Lecka has gone for good) and it's the ONLY store serving gelatos in Penang (I think). There you go.. I'm going to blog on my 'encounter' with Gelatissimo. First and foremost, consumers need to be educated the difference between ice-cream (Haagen dazs, Baskin Robbins, Walls etc) and Gelatos. Gelatos is italian frozen ice dessert and the method of making it is different from ice cream . Basically, gelatos has less cream than ice cream and it has higher density (the molecules are nearer as compared with ice cream). Most importantly, I think the fat content is less as it has more original food as compared with ice cream (usually with articificial coloring and flavours). The friendly staff posing for camera. The girl in spectacles would always asked me if I would like to try their flavours. To be honest, I trie...
