am I considered a little 'out'?

These few years, I've been reading chic magazines off and on and soon, noticed that there are a lot of new 'acronyms' created. I sort of ignored, as I would never thought myself lacking knowledge in that area. 10 years ago, we learnt simple irc-lingo like, brb, wb, gtg, btw, and etc... That was considered a 'new' language for me. And now, I notice that the usage of acronym is even much higher now. Find that http://www.netlingo.com is very helpful. It's really weird, seeing the variations of BF. BF = bestfriends (not always boy friend) BFF = best friends forever BFFN = best friends for now and they even had.. BFFTTE = best friends forever till the end Funny huh? and we have.. BIL, MIL, FIL, SIL.. which is.. brother-inlaw, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law.. the world is really revolving. Keep it up!

Putting Your PAST Behind You

I would say, I wouldn't have a perfect life. And most people had bad pasts and experiences. The book could be considered a good read for all. I discovered some points: 1. Admitting and Acknowledging the Past/Problem that happened 2. Dealing with the consequence of the problem (got to face it bravely even though it's already a tattoo on our bodies) 3. Forgiving the (person), ourselves and ask God for forgiveness 4. Turn to God. Surrender our problem to God. Pray, and have faith in God. 5. God's forgiveness, mercy, providence is ever flowing for us. It's never too late. It's never too late to let go... and begin a new life.

Dreamt of Toyol

Couple of days ago, I dreamt of myself going up to the hills near my house. I always have dreams of the top. It seemed like, bridge to terabithia, where there are many interesting things to see. Since it was a hill, it was like a jungle trail up there, where an old indian priest lived. There were nice green grasses and he was throwing some stuff on the grass and on the rooftops. Soon, it all went missing. I was explained that the food was for the toyols. I thought back, wasn't that a nightmare??? I remembered watching the tv that was left on, about life mysteries, where men acutally feed toyols (baby ghost) for their benefits. I told a friend of mine that I dream a lot. She said, I'm like "Joseph". I told her, no.. i never dreamt of stars and moons bowing. I'm not as great as him, but I believe God would work in me mightily.

Hongkie Kopitiam, E-gate

It was after dinner, so thought of going somewhere nearby for dessert (plus cuci mata a bit) Ooopss. accidentally took some patrons deciding what to order. And the mangoe fettucine - it aint that great.. Rm5.90 for such little mangoes? And this is the red riding hood, blended red beans with corn on top, with only 3 tong yuens. (price should be about Rm5.90 as well) I think sunshine stall, 2-in-1 blended that cost Rm1.40 taste anytime better!

Life's Art

It's really a life- touching tvb 20 episodes cantonese series. Ryan (starring Kevin Cheng) is the ideal guy that any girl would dream of being with. Gigi Lai was the imperfect girl (hurt her right hand when she was younger) that found her true love. few things i see from the serial: 1. Long distance relationship wont last 2. It's important to carry a dream/vision - and the best part, when the other person realizes your dream 3. Never give up life due to some imperfections in your life (her injured hand), but continue to pursuing your dream 4. Stop competing in the rat race (stuck in corporate with no flexibility), but rather find more fulfilment in doing a job that we like 5. Family values and stop trusting friends who cheat you

My school canteen on papers today

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/6/14/nation/21549214&sec=nation Petrol price hike. Price hike (as expected). Needless to say. The famous char koay teow available in Penang. Though I don't have the luxury to eat school canteen that often, I do have friends who love it so much that they eat the same thing everyday. I kinda miss my school days life so much. this article brings back fond memories....

Homemade Birthday Cake

I never knew that Homemade cakes can look so pretty as a birthday cake. Perhaps I should start baking my own cakes. Geee.. I haven't learnt yet! I remembered my sis-in-law did bake a nice chocolate moist cake for my bro before on his birthday. I should get the recipe from her and try for myself. It's also CHEAPER way (some more it's from the heart), to bake a cake for a friend Our version of chocolate brownies ice cream. Lol.

Gym freak CANT cope with LIFE with SUDDEN INCREASE of petrol price

I left the office at 6.45pm. I reached home at 7.40pm. My friend is still stuck in the jam for 2 hours. With the sudden jerk of petrol price, the consumers made the condition first by queueing up on endless queues in all PETROL STATIONS NATIONWIDE. I'm so pissed with the attitude. Even if the change would cost Rm30 (It's only a few meals.), they caused massive HUGE jam. People were stuck for 2 hours unnecesarily. We got to learn to overcome this in a long run. We need to re-plan our finances. On desperate case, I dont mind car pool with 2 other ppl in the office. Right now, I'm car pooling with 1 person. Now, to decrease my expenses on petrol, I need to find ways to cut further more. I used to need approx RM3.50 to work, now it's RM5. Rm5x22 working days = Rm110. + driving out for lunches = RM3x10 = Rm30? Church, activities, entertainment on any other days = Rm100? Not only that, as long as my pay is not increasing much (less than 5%... ) this is just another sign of...

Prestige Palace Cafe, Queensbay

Every month, my dept would organize a place for Birthday Celebration. The last round at Japin, queensbay mall was rather expensive. Each person got to pay about RM20+. Whenever I pass by the road, I would be able to see the banner for set lunch RM9.90+. I suggested this place to my colleagues since all of us have not been there. It's a place where nobody has been to. I can't even google it ! The set lunch came with iced lemon tea and mushroom soup first. The drink was very small glass with lotsa ice. Mushroom soup was a bit like pizza hut, very diluted. Grilled Fish with salad and mashed potato. I didnt' tasted that. Black Pepper Chicken with fries and vege. I didn't eat that too. BBQ Chicken. That was what I ordered. Chicken was pre-cooked and the BBQ sauce was only poured later. They prepared the food before we came, thus, it's a little bit not-too-hot. I prefer it hot-hot. :P The chicken reminds me of Secret recipe. It is cooked first and gravy/sauce will be se...

Baan Thai Home Thai Restaurant

After Beach, I was not sure where to go for dinner, and ended up at Baan Thai at Hillside. Played around with the glass.. They served us with iced water and vegetable chips. I asked if it's charged and he said it was FOC. (of course la.. food wasn't exactly cheap there) First course, pineapple fried rice Prawn Tomyam. Honestly, it's only so-so. Nothing great to shout about. Mixed vegetables - brocolli, carrot, cauliflower, baby corn and mushrooms. Pandan chicken and spring rolls. All these cost us Rm50. The food is really quite plain, however, service was good. Since there weren't many people there, the waiters are quite attentive to us. Most of the patrons are angmohs. I guess, we are paying for the service, environment (candle light mahh). :)

Jetski anyone?

Apparently... they are charging Rm50/hour. but jaws (para-flying.. watever u call that) is Rm200!!!

Sunset @Batu Ferringhi, Penang

It was a public Holiday. I decided to ask my friend out to appreciate my very own hometown, Penang Island. We headed to Parkroyal Beach... Look at the $$. Darn costly. Cosy .. cosy.. I tried holding the sun.. but i think I should try holding those little teenagers as well! Isn't Penang pretty? from super bright to dawn... *winks* *self shot*

One of my fav pics taken

The pic was taken by my sis. Nice composition. I looked so much like a glutton with all types of food spread on the table. It was my sister's many months back at Mizi, New World Park.
