Pavilion Cafe and Homestay at Lebuh Presgrave (Sar Tiao Lor), Penang [review]

There are many cafes and homestays / guest houses / hostels / boutique hotels sprouting in Georgetown Penang that I have lost count of them. Last week, I was privileged to visit a pretty new cafe cum homestay opposite Kwong Wah Jit Poh Press along Lebuh Presgrave, or better known by the locals as Sar Tiao Lor (3rd Road). This is it.  Pavilion Cafe, in a refurbished pre-war house/shoplot. 三禾轩. (Hanyu: San Sui Suen  - I think)  The moment I entered the cafe, I noticed the coffee drip. And, on the walls of the cafe, there are drawings of the Kwong Wah Yit Poh Press....  The interior gave me that 1920s feel. Now, let's see what have we got in Pavilion Cafe.... Crispy Chicken with Jackfruit (RM10.9) Hardly seen any savory dish that comes with Jackfruit, thus, this is interesting for me! Classic Fried Spaghetti with Ham (RM10.9). Similar like the Aglio-olio, it's spicy with ample chili flakes. Taiw...

Ninetology U9 Smartphone Designs to Pick! [review]

Last week, I was invited to Pavilion cafe for a food review and at the same time, there were some smartphones by Ninetology U9 for review, namely, U9R1 , U9X1 , U9Z1 , U9Z1+ and Stealth 4X . For a young company (established only in 2012), I'm pretty impressed with the models that they are selling! Many may not heard of this, but there are not too bad, with reasonable pricing. For price comparisons, refer to the Ninetology U9 Facebook page . One of the cool features was the in-built flash light app, which came in handy when we were snapping photos of the food.  I'm glad to receive GSC's advertiser pass (complimentary for 2 pax) by Ninetology Marketing Sdn. Bhd as a gift. There were some lucky bloggers who even received Ninetology Powerbank on that day. There were no 3D movies available, so I watched Hercules :D And then, I realized that before the screening of every movie, there is a Ninetology ad by Z-Chen.   Found this on youtube, it's exactl...

An afternoon affair at Suffolk House, Penang

It's already 2014 now.  And, I still have a belated post for December that is yet to be published. I thought that it was one of the memorable lunch on a good Saturday afternoon, thus, here I am, writing my special 'lunch date' with my friend/sis. We were at Suffolk house, to celebrate my friend's birthday. We thought that we probably will not go to such places for lunch, so I made it a point to only go to these special places on a more special occasion, at least,  it would be more memorable dining there. Since the set lunches are more affordable at RM55++, I decided to pick this place :) I took the salad as the appetizer. Complimentary bread Randomly posed with our food. The fish and chips The medium cooked ribeye  The seafood pasta Dessert - a cake and ice cream. And a pic of the 3 of us together. Thanks to the next-table-patron  who volunteered to take a picture for us, after observing us tryin...
