There are many cafes and homestays / guest houses / hostels / boutique hotels sprouting in Georgetown Penang that I have lost count of them. Last week, I was privileged to visit a pretty new cafe cum homestay opposite Kwong Wah Jit Poh Press along Lebuh Presgrave, or better known by the locals as Sar Tiao Lor (3rd Road). This is it. Pavilion Cafe, in a refurbished pre-war house/shoplot. 三禾轩. (Hanyu: San Sui Suen - I think) The moment I entered the cafe, I noticed the coffee drip. And, on the walls of the cafe, there are drawings of the Kwong Wah Yit Poh Press.... The interior gave me that 1920s feel. Now, let's see what have we got in Pavilion Cafe....
