The Lux Masquerade Princess Search - Part II

I bought 3 big bottles of lux shower to participate for a free make over and photoshoot. The cute little promoter told me that even guys could buy and do the makeover/photoshoot too. So, I asked what if we dont want to join the search? She said we could also buy and have the free make over. :D Then... now I see this on facebook . Even Pei has her share of pictures on facebook . And the rest of the lengluis ..

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle...

I'm crazy about this song!! Check out the lyrics of Lenka - The show . I'm just a little bit caught in the middle Life is a maze, and love is a riddle I don't know where to go Can't do it alone I've tried, but I don't know why Slow it down, make it stop Or else my heart is going to pop 'Cause its to much, yeah its a lot To be something I'm not I'm a fool, out of love 'Cause I just can't get enough I'm just a little bit caught in the middle Life is a maze, and love is a riddle I don't know where to go Can't do it alone I've tried, but I don't know why I'm just a little girl lost in the moment I'm so scared but I don't show it I can't figure it out It's bringing me down I know, I've got to let it go And just enjoy the show The sun is hot in the sky Just like a giant spot light The people follow the signs And synchronize in time It's a joke, nobody knows they've got a ticket to the show. Yeah,

What should you do when there is a LEAKAGE?

Being women, we sometimes may encounter some 'leakages' at some point of time in life. It's been a long time since I have leakages and I think it's kind of unbearable. It's been raining in Penang. Most cars parked outside are wet, but it seems like the interior of the car was also wet. It was lunch hour again. Not knowingly, I sat at the back of the car seat thinking that it was just some rain water. To my surprise, the whole chair was drenched with muddy, filthy rainwater. I inspected the car roof and it's been leaking! (all because of Proton's fault !!!!!) After some embarassing moment of walking out from the car, I slowly sneaked into one of the restaurants at i-avenue (near JPJ, beside a hair salon - I dont' remember the name! is it Eastern Wishes?). I ordered Set A - RM8.90. Some deep fried chicken food, which I liked it a lot (though it's fattening). The Mixed vege seems to have been stir-fried or boiled in hot water. My friend ordered tomyam

Give me some SLEEP!

It was already 1.30am this morning and I was pretty disturbed with this insect-like moth/butterfly flying in my room. I tried to chase it out of the room but all my efforts were in vain. Based on my observation: 1. They are deaf - i shouted but no respond 2. They dont move if you scare them - only if i hit them 3. They like to stay on the wall/lights 4. They come by during rainy seasons That explains the sleepy me today.

Plus Two at Sungai Dua

Since my colleague promoted so much about the wantan mee in Plus Two, finally I had a chance to try it. The shop is just along mcD/Baskin Robbins. Small plate cost Rm2.70 and the price for drinks is very reasonable. At first, they served us with a bowl of wantan soup. The wantan mee is kinda sweet and i think the cook is way too generous with the sugar and the soy sauce (very sweet and thick sauce). (I had to blur the background due to bad angle by a not-so-professional photographer) Honey dew sago dessert which cost only RM1.90 and KOPI-O RM1.20 The dessert is not too bad though i find it very foamy.. and it's quite worth it for the amount of ingredients they added in.

Photoshop Tutorial - Photoshop Slave

If you are into photography and would like to explore more on the techniques and methods, you could visit Photoshop Tutorial . The site just started April 2009 (yes, it is this year!). Their tagline is "Master Photoshop, Don't be a slave for Photoshop". There are only a few categories grouped, namely Photography, Photography Magazine, Photoshop tutorial, and Photoshop video tutorial . At least, I could take a peep at the magazine instead of getting the hardcopy myself. Basically, this site allows us to explore our photography techniques as well as on our Photoshop skills. It’s a new site, but it’s good to bookmark it into your favorites when you are looking for ideas. Mostly, their tutorials are Photoshop Video Tutorials . Thus, I guess, it’d be easier than following the instructions as compared to thick dummies manual guide. Want to know how to make a ‘bokeh’ effect if you didn’t manage to adjust your camera settings? Try reading on this , hope it would interest some of

It was just a dream..

1. when a rapid bus was parked at my car porch (who drove it?) 2. when all get laid off in my company due to bankruptcy 3. when i started jumping down into the deep blue sea I certainly dreamt too much last nite.

How much was the Damage?

My sis' car got kissed by a Honda city. She freaked out and of course, I wasn't, mainly because it was not my car. Damages: 1. Broken car plate 2. Exhaust pipe loosen Cost: Only RM75 Did the guy pay up???? I dont know~!!! My sis did not follow up with him........... >_< Why can't a finance manager just pay RM100 upfront?

It's S-O-L-D !

After a long struggle of being drown in Chpt 11 filing, finally, Spansion's Suzhou facilities (which I find that it's one of the best) has been sold to PTI. http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20090824PD203.html

Picasa - Collage Function

I was testing out the collage function in the old Picasa2 that I downloaded last time. Interesting - how softwares help our daily lives! 1. Select your pictures 2. Collage 3. Save a copy So simple! I was just testing the pictures I recently took at Gelatissimo .

An Encounter with Gelatissimo

It was an eventful Saturday afternoon. I had an 'appointment' with Gelatissimo , Gurney Plaza, Penang. I have always wished to try gelatos there (since Lecka Lecka has gone for good) and it's the ONLY store serving gelatos in Penang (I think). There you go.. I'm going to blog on my 'encounter' with Gelatissimo. First and foremost, consumers need to be educated the difference between ice-cream (Haagen dazs, Baskin Robbins, Walls etc) and Gelatos. Gelatos is italian frozen ice dessert and the method of making it is different from ice cream . Basically, gelatos has less cream than ice cream and it has higher density (the molecules are nearer as compared with ice cream). Most importantly, I think the fat content is less as it has more original food as compared with ice cream (usually with articificial coloring and flavours). The friendly staff posing for camera. The girl in spectacles would always asked me if I would like to try their flavours. To be honest, I trie

Penang Carnival 2009 - Geodesic Dome

It was a combined chinese churches effort to setup this carnival. I didn't know that it is a yearly event by the chinese congregration since it's never announced or informed by any of my church members. There were visitors from Hong Kong and speak mostly cantonese. One thing I notice from this event was, they had the olds and youngs gathered under one roof to participate in this event. I'm totally amazed on the enthusiasm in the chinese-speaking folks. They are all out into evangelism, or perhaps, AGGRESIVE? I saw groups walking along corridors of Prangin Mall and KOMTAR witnessing Christ to others. But there is always a doubt in my head. Would they accept as they would 50 years ago? Even a 81-year old (seated in the middle) joined the event.

Dance Flick

I did the weirdest thing today. I watched Dance Flick while waiting for my friend (and for other purpose as well) at Cathay Cineplex, Prangin Mall. Since I had all the time I had, I was there early. I ordered pop corn and pepsi and walked into the cinema hall. You know why it was scary to me? I went there and there was NOT a single SOUL !! I thought I was going to watch the movie alone!!!! I should have guessed when I didn't need to queue up getting the tickets. After a few movie trailers, i finally see some 'souls', but I think it was definitely less than 10. After a bio-break, I went up to the couple seat and had a big butt-space all by myself. It's not a bad idea after all, as I have the same feeling as watching a DVD on my laptop in my room all by myself :) It was a good street-dance movie. A different humour, which is new to someone (like me) who doesn't visit the cinemas often!

Hot Wok Penang

Hot Wok is supposedly serving nyonya food. But, they also have hokkien mee stall outside. For some reasons, I have few friends who are actually the 'supporters' or 'fans' of their hokkien mee... and the 'yam cake'. Generous servings of 'fried onions'

The Lux Masquerade Princess Search

It was lunch time on last Thursday. There is this roadshow for the search for Lux Masquerade Princess ... Pencarian Puteri Masquerade Lux. Cheh-wah.. We only need to purchase RM30 and above and we were entitled a makeover + hairdo and a printed picture. So I went back to QBM on a weekend. I would consider this a real cheap deal, but since I'm paying only RM30, so I lowered down my expectations towards the photographer and the make up artists. :D * i felt that they weren't that friendly * My friend helped to take a picture of me while being photographed Yay, group pic!

Penang 4th Food Bloggers Gathering

It was my first time going for a blogger's gathering. It was also my first visit to Vintage Bulgaria Restaurant and Bar, Tg bungah (right beside Ingolf's) (hmm.. it was a bar? I didn't had any chances to order wine/beer) Signage - I only understood 50% of it. I thought I was late for the gathering. Ended up, there were more late comers. As I walked up to the 3rd floor, the fellow organizer actually announced my "blog name". *paiseh* Since I didn't know many of the bloggers, I shiok sendiri took pictures with an old lousy P&S camera. Waited till 8pm-ish and finally, I had my seafood soup (right). The mushroom soup (left) tasted almost similar with the one at Mizi. Food display was on the display table. Many food bloggers flocked the area and took many shots of the food. Although I'm not into food-pictures, I just followed suit. Since I dont' remember the name of the dishes, I'll just call them what I see it looked like: Minced Chicken Pork Rib
